Last weekend I went to Prague with a few friends for my birthday! It is such a beautiful city, and we even got to see it with some snow.

Our first day we spent in the castle district, with our first stop being at Strahov Monastery. Here we got to see the beautiful libraries and collections held at the monastery.

We then headed off to the castle! The castle grounds consist of a large number of buildings, including the palace, two cathedrals, and the golden lane, previously home to many alchemists.

After that we stopped in for lunch for some traditional Czech food and beer!

We then stopped in tot he Museum of Alchemy, which was an interesting story but a bit kitsch. They did have an alchemy lab pub downstairs though that more than made up for the museum!

We then headed out for a lovely dinner, and after to the Hemmingway Bar.

The next day we spent in Old Town, where we explored the streets and saw the astronomical clock chime!

We also took a tour of the Klementinum, which is the old Jesuit university, and houses an astronomical tower in the center of the city, which of course had stunning views from the top!

We finished off the evening by going to a medieval dinner, which featured bagpipes, sword fights, and belly dancers!

It was such a magical weekend, and I can't wait to go back sometime, hopefully in warmer weather though!
