Well after the past 3 weeks of stress and studying, we have finally finished our exams and are done with the first year of vet school! Even though this year was never what I expected my first year of veterinary school to look like, I have learned so much both related to veterinary medicine and life in general. Moving to a new country is already such a crazy experience, and the circumstances of the past year made it even more so. I am so grateful for all the friends I have made here in Glasgow. They've become a second family, and made moving here and getting through this first year of school so much easier. I can't wait until we are able to travel and see more of this beautiful country together.

Even though exams were very stressful, I really realized just how much I've learned this year. Here at Glasgow we have 4 days of exams at the end of the year that make up 85% of our grade. This was a big change for me coming from the quarter system at Cal Poly, where we had exams about every 3 weeks! Though it definitely was more stressful with doing nothing but intense studying for the last 3 weeks, I really feel like I was able to retain the necessary information rather than just memorize and regurgitate the information on an exam. I am really looking forward to next year and being able to start more clinical work in our curriculum!
