Dumgoyne hike

What better way to spend Halloween than on a beautiful hike! Originally we had planned for a big group of us to go, but the weather forecast proceeded to look more grim as the week went along, so it ended up just being 4 of us. Our plan was to hike up Dumgoyne and then continue on to Earl's seat, but that pretty much went out the window once we were about halfway up Dumgoyne. Not only is the first peak a very steep trail (around 1,000 ft in less than a mile), but it was also slippery, rainy, and windy, so we decided to just conquer the first one and call it a day. It didn't seem safe to continue further in the given conditions. At the top of the peak the winds were so strong that we could lean forward at a 45 degree angle into the wind and it would hold us up. It sure was beautiful though!
Enjoy some pictures form the hike!
