Moving In!

Well I finally got our internet set up yesterday so it's time for another update!

I arrived in Glasgow on Monday morning after a lovely 16+ hours of traveling to a beautiful sunny day. If you don't know, currently upon arriving in the UK from the US, you are required to quarantine for 14 days. So for the past couple days I have mostly stayed inside other than for running a few errands. Luckily it hasn't been so bad as there has been lots to do getting the flat ready, and its been raining most of the time anyways.

First day in Scotland!

The first few days I was definitely jet lagged, but luckily I did manage to start a good sleep cycle on that first night, so I've been going to sleep and waking up at normal hours on Scottish time. I have been able to spend time cleaning and setting up the flat as much as I could without being able to really go to the store to get stuff. Since I haven't had internet set up in our flat until now, I've also spent a lot of time reading some of the books that the previous tenants left behind for us.

I was able to go to the store and grab some basic supplies, as well as set up my Scottish bank account! Also, the school was generous enough to offer groceries to incoming international students who are being required to quarantine, so we have no shortage of food for a while.

Since today was the first full day of it not being rainy since I got here, I decided to enjoy the sun and get some exercise, so I went for a quick run around the neighborhood (which I learned is all a bunch of hills), and do a quick resistance workout at home!

Now that I have internet and more things to entertain myself hopefully the second half of this quarantine week won't be quite as bad. And my roommate arrives on Tuesday, which I cannot wait for!!
